Marc Jacobs Resort 2012 Collection
Only the “cool” (New York Times) Marc Jacobs could pull off a collection that is null of a theme. Last season, the designer adorned models in polka dots and this year, he tore down his grandmother’s 1960s wallpaper and drapery to use for his 2012 Resort Collection.
Printed buttoned up shirts fastened with military belts, silk dresses, shorts, short jackets, long jackets, and a tank top thrown in here and there — with a lack of cohesion besides the 60′s print motif, it is as if absentee theme was the actual theme.
