Jason Wu Launches E-Commerce
Meere weeks ago, the New York-based designer, Jason Wu, made his Twitter debut under the name @MissWu_NY and is now venturing into the e-commerce market with JasonWuStudio.com.
To celebrate the launch, Wu employed Tommy Ton to shoot model Tati Cotliar decked out in the Fall ‘11 collection in the New York streets. Starting today, you can shop a selection of the designer’s Spring and Pre-Fall handbags and “click a little deeper into the Wu world: A “Craftsmanship” section explores his workmanship and garment construction, while the “Collections” section offers video, lookbooks, behind-the-scenes images, and exclusive image collaborations done just for the site” (Fashionologie).
In discussing the new collection, Wu remarks, “It’s actually my favorite collection of his, so I’m very honored to be shooting this particular collection in the way that I do, on a girl like Tati who wears clothes so well.” If Tati wears it so well, any young, fit, 20-30 something fashion-focused female should fit in well in the world of Wu.
