Christopher Kane Launches Handbag Collection
Christopher Kane’s newest clutch collection began as a way to cheer up his ill sister, grabbing neon laser cut leather remnants from his collection to make a clutch for her. When she wore the orange clutch to the Vogue Fashion Fund, it received such praise that Net-a-Porter approached Kane to make an exclusive clutch collection for their website.
When discussing the unexpected handbag line, Kane said that, “they actually go with almost every outfit, they are so great and always cheer me up.”
With the neon trend taking over the fashion world this season, these vibrant clutches fit perfectly with the rest of Kane’s Spring/ Summer 2011 collection, which was filled with neon colors and prints. The brightly colored bags are available on Net-a-Porter and retail for $530
