Designers To Watch: Lindsey Alt and Ella Jacobsson of RYGGRAD
Stumbling across the Twitter sphere you are bombarded with upcoming designers and once in a blue moon does one spark your attention. During one of Fashion News Live’s marathon Twitter stumbles, we found Lindsey Alt and Ella Jacobsson of RYGGRAD.
Inspired by the streets of New York and Stockholm, the duo created RYGGRAD in an astonishing six months under the condition that the pieces would be original affordable fashion. Believing that woman all over the world should never settled for anything less than everything they’ve dreamed, “RYGGRAD stands for that moment in your life where you realize if you want to have it all, you have to be willing to risk it all.”
About the DesignersLINDSEY ALT Co-founder of RYGGRAD, Lindsey is a New York native who packed her sharp tongue and shoe collection with her eye set on Los Angeles. A graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Lindsey had a definitive desire for entrepreneurship from the moment she stepped off the plane. Prior to launching RYGGRAD Lindsey was the Creative Director of Trends West, a premier trend forecasting publication based here in Los Angeles. After meeting Swedish business partner, Ella Jacobsson, in 2010 they immediately began the collective creation of RYGGRAD. ELLA JACOBSSON Co-founder of RYGGRAD, Ella is a Stockholm native who followed love to Los Angeles and brought the edgy culture of Swedish street style along with her. Ella completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Stockholm University and furthered her education once in Los Angeles at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Her world experience and personal drive add even more dynamic to RYGGRAD.
